Finalize!!

Whew! What a happy ending for this class but I will miss everyone's inputs online. I enjoyed learning a lot about the information technology that can be used in business world. All sessions has helped me to understand how we can get advantage of information technologies and use it to get us to next level. This is the best class online I’ve ever experienced. Through this is my first course, and I am looking forward to 2nd courses and further more! The more I know the better for me so that way I can do my job efficiently or share the ideas. Just like the old thumb rules: More knowledge is better! Or Earlier is better than later. I wish you all a happy holidays!!

Episode XIIIII (Dec. 11-17)

I learned a great deal about the business decision related to IT. Not every decision is always right but a logic solution. I believe that every decision, if a decision made turned out badly, then the company will be in better position only if they can learn from their mistake and do a better job next time. Even some students disagree with a delay of IT investment. I understood the reason behind it but i still stay with what I believe- wait a bit longer before jump into any new IT. Look at many new IT that failed our expectation, look at Visa operating, still alot of bugs, i would rather XP over Vista as for now. But again, I enjoyed learning from other's view of opinion and their arguments to support their reasoning.

Episode XIIII (Dec 4-10)

Whew! I’m almost getting there to the finish line. I have to keep stretch my neck longer so I can finish first! I learned a great deal about Teleworking through I do heard about that but not that details as anyone discussed the advantages and challenge issues. This is something I can take in account should I become a manager someday so I will weight the decision based on these facts. I would love to be able to work from my home but my position requires me to be present at work. Shoot! Yes, this is good thing to know that not everyone can agree to one thing but has their own opinion toward a social networking. I know it’s great for most of people out there to keep in touch, I have not found mine yet (hobby or passion) to keep in touch with buddies yet. However for sure, I will keep my ning account open there.

Good luck with a final exam!

Episode XIII (Nov 27-Dec. 3)

LOL! I love that one. Principal’s chatroom? Ouch! I enjoyed the mini project as much as we can see that there is no “I” in this to create a CIO Job Vacancy Announcement. Upon Wiki, we can view the correction, deletion, added, or modified by anyone in here. It’s a perfect example of teamwork to develop a perfect position with all skills required. I always support the new standards because it is making our life much easier to follow on the same page. Along the world, we need to have an agreement or some kind set of guideline especially in the context of technologies that will bring us a lot of benefits for using that.

Episode XII (Nov 20-28)

Check it out! Guess where is Frek? OFC He's looking for a job, oh poor whoever hires him! So anyway back to session 12 conference, I found DFD a quiet challenge after saw some students tried their best but struggled with a concept of DFD. At first, I got myself confused between flow chart and DFD then correct it. Whew! I learned about the business processes such as Extreme/Agile programming and SDLC, the concept of how to apply it on the project. The complication of that business term, I would rather to stay away from it and stick with the computer stuffs that I know but of course, understand the basic concept as long as I do my part!

Episode XI (Nov 13-19)

I found myself so amazed when I learned about the fed scope data, so interesting to read the others’ strategy based on fact data from there on the chart. I enjoyed reading that. Everyone has their secret to success but basic, just set up a timeline to ensure that every goal is completed to be considering a success. I would do the same thing to consider that if every goal is completed but I will want to make sure that the co workers are following my lead and understand the meaning of success. Happy thanksgiving!!!

Episode X (Nov 6- 12)

I enjoyed learning about the GPS technology applications out there, for example monitor over teenager's driving habit. I might get one for my son someday but true, it’s a matter of trust issue. If I get him this then doesn't that mean I don’t trust his driving? We will see about that. Data Mining and privacy, hot debate in there since it’s only matter of everyone’s view on how they handle our personal info out there. I would be disappointed if the company mishandles my privacy info as long as they use it to help to predict the market, or improve the customer service, etc. We get to be careful out there when fill out the personal info. Sometime it might sound like living in cruel world but sometime its happening when it’s falling in wrong hands. Opps! Oh Yeah bot, I know one day we will have our own personal bot in our home, probably in my 80s years old! It would be great if I have a bot to play against me on chess game.
